Choosing a case for your iPhone is definitely a huge deal. Choosing a protective and even more a clear case is further difficult task. So we did some research and found 10 cases you can go for if you are looking for a clear and a protective case for your iPhone 14.
Here is the list starting from…
10. OtterBox SYMMETRY SERIES+ CLEAR Antimicrobial Case
When there was only iPhone 13 in the market, the Symmetry was a far better case. It was thick and tightly fitting with nicely raised edges. Especially it was made using both Polycarbonate and TPU. After they released the version for the iPhone 14, they sadly downgraded the case. We don’t know why but now the case is barely fits the phone, also it isn’t thick as it was before (which means less protection and decreased camera bump). The material has gone from PC and TPU to only TPU this time. The only thing that goes without any criticism is the nice and smooth buttons. That is one thing that should be highlighted because there aren’t many things to do so.
9. Pelican Voyager Series
This case is little bit different than others. It comes in two separate parts; you just have to snap them with the iPhone 14. Unlike the previous Pelican versions this case doesn’t split open very often after a drop, that’s an improvement. Additionally, this comes with a belt clip holster that can be also used as a kickstand which could be a great help for the user in many ways. Also there are port covers for mic and the charging port. That could be annoying to some while some find it helpful. The things that can be said as negative facts on this case are the stiff buttons and the bulky design. The frame of the case and the feel of the buttons are too stiff, you feel that you are using a plastic case, not just the phone, except that the rest is totally fine. Also it should be mentioned that this supports MagSafe charging without any worries (there is a non MagSafe version too).
8. UAG Essential Armor Frosted Ice
Essential Armor is a clear case but with a nice little texture on the back (Frosted Ice version) that gives some kind of a 3d look to the phone. All the corners are super rugged and protected, so any drops on corners will have a minimum impact on the phone. Front edges and the camera bumps are sufficiently raised but the buttons are kind of hard to find, feels like they are hidden on something. The MagSafe mark on the back of the case is also different from a usual circle. This also has a strap hole on the bottom right corner so you can attach a strap if you wish.
7. Incipio Grip Case
This here is another case that feels quite stiff to the hand. Incipio Grip has a textured frame which is kind of nice looking and a clear, glass looking back. The edges are raised in the front but not too much so don’t expect a higher scratch protection. The back also tends to get scratchy if something impacts with it repeatedly (i.e. keys in your pocket). Buttons feels good to your fingertips and also the cutouts are neat. Overall the drop protection is just above average, and it is said that the case won’t get yellow overtime but it is up to you to take good care of the case.
6. Ghostek COVERT Clear Case
A case that feels so good in hands. If you don’t like the TPU frames around your case, then this one is just for you. This has a rubbery matte frame around the case with a texture to provide an extra grip. The buttons are bit stiff but gives away a crisp feeling. Front frame is well raised above the screen and also the camera bump.
5. RHINOSHIELD CrashGuard NX
Crashguard isn’t exactly a 100% clear case, it has a colorful frame around it (available in many colors – you can also select the colors of the buttons). The frame is rubbery like the previous Ghostek case, not a stiff TPU case that feels solid to the hand. Drop protection of the case is quite good, but the grip isn’t that good to the hand. Edges are more raised in the back than the front. So, dropping your phone front first to the ground isn’t so good for you.
4. REBEL Case
Rebel is a case with a great build quality, and also comes with a screen protector. Phone Rebel tried to imitate the back of the iPhone 14 on their phone case, they succeeded for some extent. Drop protection of the case is overwhelming. The buttons are kind of like metallic and has a great touching feeling to it. All the edges and the camera bump are sufficiently raised. It is designed to minimize the bulk and to provide extra protection from drops. Seems like they succeeded well enough.
So here come the top 3 cases.
3. Catalyst Influence Case
This catalyst case hasn’t changed much from previous iPhone versions. It is like the same previous version but compatible with the new hardware. The most significant thing about this is the Rotatable Volume button. It is now quite easy to turn the volume up or down. The design is also unique, doesn’t attract fingerprints at all. Buttons are also nicely made, has a soft and clicky touch to it. In addition to all these, this case is designed to enhance the flow of the sound making iPhone’s sound much louder but bit flatter. The only backward thing about this case is the edges, which are not raised enough.
2. MOUS Clarity 2.0
This case includes the one of the smartest designs you’ll ever see from an iPhone case. All the four corners have raised edges which provides a brilliant protection to your screen from drops. Also it doesn’t add any bulky feeling like any other case with this much raised edges. The back of the phone is quite resistant to moderate scratches. The frame and the back material add extra grip to the hand to any of the MagSafe devices. The only thing that can be considered negative is the frame of every case type comes in black, if you don’t have a problem with a black frame then there are literally no problems at all.
1. CASETiFY Bounce Protective Case
All these versions of Casetify are well enforced to provide a maximum protection. There is super cool designs and customizable color palette to select between. Every other thing about this is quite great except the buttons. They are ok but not that great because they are bit hard to find, not raised enough. The raised edges, the grip and non-fingerprint attracting back are all okay.
